Thanks for the info guys!I got this letter today. after reading the above i am not going for sure. I knew it was too good to be true i didnt do anything special to get two free tickets and nor am i a frequent flyer.
It looks like they are still in business as usual ...Did anybody follow through the "60 minute presentation" and get the ticket without signing up for anything else? Please let me know. I just receive one "mailer for 2 free tickets from them as well".Thanks in advance.
yes but did you get the tickets in the end or not
It's a "scam" or not depending on your point of view. But one thing's for sure. Nothing's for free.IGT is not a gambling company. (Note: there IS a company names IGT that makes gaming machines but this is a different company.) IGT is a "travel club", which a lot of people would certainly call a scam. The idea is you pay a huge upfront fee (which they'll let you pay in years worth of installments) and then you supposedly get big discounts on tickets and hotels and such. Think "time share", but for travel expenses. If you are a big time traveler it might even be worth your while, but if you travel that mush you have so much money that you probably don't care anyway. The "free" tickets are in exchange for sitting through their very high pressure, hour long presentation. (Again, "time share". If you've ever been tricked into one of those presentations then you know what I'm talking about.) After the presentation they will have a "reception" where they'll pressure you more while they "work on the paperwork" for your free tickets.Basically, what other people said. Just avoid them.Oh and if you want to see their building on google maps, use this address:810 Highway 6 S, Houston, TX 77079For some reason, if you don't put the "S" after "6" it doesn't take you to the right place. It's a small office building just south of Memorial. As you'd expect, it's kind of a dump.
They sure are clever, The mail peice I received is Holiday themed. One of the inside flaps says "Sponsored by: IGT" which seems to be a gambling machine manufacturer/distributor. I looked up the address included 810 Highway 6, Suite 150, Houston, TX 77079 and it belongs to a different business. I don't trust it. I'd rather miss out on two airplane tickets than get taken.
I received a mailer as you described. No doubt about it this it is a scam. As you say nothing is free!
They did not call me but sent me a letter marked Business Mail: penalty for tampering. It says "FLY A US AIRLINE." This is a scam. Do not call them back. It offers two round-trip airfares to the major city of your choice throughout the continental USA! Nothing is free people.
This is a company by the name of: VNI 810 Hwy 6 Ste 150 Houston TX 77079They are some sort of telemarkarting group offering two round trip airfare tickets to anywhere in continental US
